Always busy diner, currently undergoing a facelift but remains open. Friendly server, attentive. Always has specials especially early bird dinner specials. Great price great meal. We went for lunch reasonable prices I had chicken pot pie it was hot and delicious with big chunks of chicken! Good soups with the meal too.
I'm surprised at other Yelper's review of this diner. Maybe we just lucked out. We came on a BUSY Father's Day. There was a short wait, as we expected. The food took a bit long to get to us, but again, expected. Joey had a pork roll and cheese sandwich and I had pancakes and scrambled eggs. EVERYTHING was delicious, and I'm a pancake "expert!"
Honestly, there is a reason that New Jersey is the diner capital of the world. No place (and I mean no place) can truly compared to a New Jersey diner. A diner isn't supposed to offer upscale food nor is it supposed to be fancy. Diners about Comfort, it is about good times and good friends, it is a great place to end the night out or begin a tough work day. This diner is a good place to grab a quick meal. I opted for a breakfast omelette and since it is so close to Philadelphia, I had to go with scrapple as a side dish. I was everything a diner breakfast should be. A little Indulgence, not the healthiest for you, and oh so good. My co-worker got a cheeseburger with fries. While he assured me it was good, I honestly thought I ordered the right thing. I would give this place a recommendation.
Came here today for some breakfast. It was crowded but we were seated quickly. Their coffee was nice and hot just what I needed. Service was good. Food was tasty. I got the cheese omelet with a side of Scrapple which also comes with potatoes and toast. My daughter got the cheeseburger deluxe said it was good as well. The only thing is they forgot her coleslaw so I had to ask for It. Not sure why it seems diners do this at times. If it says it comes with it, bring it. I'm pretty sure they get a lot Of cheeseburger orders so how do you forget? Anyway i enjoyed my experience and will be there again.
